Biography |
Kevin Sawatsky has a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria. He has served on the School of Business faculty at Trinity Western University since 1993 as Assistant, Associate and now Professor of Law. Kevin has won numerous teaching awards including School of Business Professor of the Year (2009-10 and 2012-13) and the Davis Distinguished Teaching Award (2011-12). Kevin was named the Dean of the School of Business in 2001 and served in that capacity until 2008. During his first tenure as Dean the School of Business had significant growth including the commencement of the MBA program. In 2008 Kevin was appointed as University Legal Counsel and in 2011 added the responsibilities of Vice-Provost (Business). In 2014 Kevin was appointed to a second term as Dean of the School of Business and continues to serve in that role. Kevin has also practiced law since being called to the bar of British Columbia in 1993. Kevin has focused in the areas of employment and construction law. Kevin was part of the legal team providing counsel for TWU at the Supreme Court of Canada in 2000 and again in 2017. |
