Biography |
Dr. Chen Liu is Associate Professor in Finance and Associate Director of the MBA Program. She obtained her Ph.D. in Finance from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in 2014. Dr. Liu conducts empirical research in Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurship. Her research areas span topics that include Private Equity, Venture Capital, Startup Finance, Blockchain and FinTech. Her work has been published in numerous academic books and journals and presented at numerous international conferences. Dr. Liu sit on the editorial boards of the Journal of British Blockchain Association and Frontiers in Blockchain. On the practical side, Dr. Liu is a well sought-after expert on business valuation for start-up financing, VC & PE deals, M&A, IPO valuation, and stock investment. Dr. Liu is co-founder & CFO of Coinchain Capital Inc., a technology solution provider in FinTech and Blockchain. Dr. Liu teaches Corporate Finance at both undergraduate and MBA levels. She is co-founder of TWU’s student managed investment fund. She was voted by business students as the Professor of the Year in both 2016 and 2017. Dr. Liu has previously taught at Smith School of Business of Queen’s University. |
